Parent/Toddler, Transition Rm 2

When I was fifteen years old, I babysat for Paul McCartney’s three year old stepdaughter, Heather who lived in my NYC building with her mother.  I fell in love with both Paul and Heather. Paul was clearly taken, so I followed my love of children and began a lifelong journey of teaching and inspiring young children and their families.

My path took me to The Children’s School in La Jolla where I inherited a parent education curriculum. Through much research into parenting philosophies and modalities, I restructured the curriculum to make it my own and continue to learn and evolve this curriculum through my studies.

A five year exploration of Atlanta, GA led me to work with battered women and children. This became a passion for me. When my family moved back to San Diego, I started at the Hanna Fenichel Center. The Reggio Emilia philosophy and focus on social-emotional growth mirrored perfectly with my fervent belief in honoring the curiosity and wonder of children, and encouraging their innate capability with language to care for their needs, their friends, and their world at Hanna.

My husband Steve (not Paul McCartney, better!), and I have a beautiful thirty-seven year marriage with three girls, two sons-in-laws and four granddaughters. Life is happy and fulfilled.
