Hanna Community

Our goal at Hanna is to nurture collaboration amongst our families, children, and staff. We pride ourself on our close sense of community and the many avenues for our parents to build meaningful relationships during their child's early developmental years. We invite you to read through our parent testimonials to hear why our parents care about our Hanna Community!

We are presently in our 11th year at Hanna with 4 graduates and one child currently attending. We love how the teachers guide with love and the lessons are specifically tailored to the interests of the students. Our children gained much appreciation of nature, animals, and the arts. They grew to love learning through creative spontaneous play. I also love the focus on local and global environments, and personal responsibility to take care of our planet. The Hanna staff is always learning and striving to provide a variety and creative ways to enrich the student experience.

Hanna educators have taken the time to invest in us as parents. The Parent/Toddler and parenting enrichment programs really made us feel knowledgeable and more empowered as parents. By giving us the tools to understand, research, and learn parenting techniques that work for each of our children’s different personalities, we have been able to connect and support each of our children better. We love that the Hanna way is the individualized way. We feel lucky to be surrounded by other parents that care as much as we do and lucky to have found a school that is so ever supportive of its parents.
— Nikolas London, Dad to Three Hanna Students
Hanna Fenichel is so much more than a preschool for our children. Our children have learned important social, emotional, and intellectual skills that will forever be a source of their inner strength and confidence. I feel a real tingle of magic when I am at the school so I can only imagine the imaginative transformation of the world taking place in my children’s minds. Being surrounded by so many wonderful, like-minded parents who equally value the magic of the Hanna curriculum creates the foundation for a powerful experience. We are forever proud supporters of the preservation and growth of this second home for our children.
— Courtney Stone - Mom to Three Hanna Students

Unique to Hanna is our Parent/Toddler program where parents participate in an early learning program with our parent educator, Patti Aretz. This special class time allows our new families to forge special bonds with each other while their children simultaneously do the same with their classmates. Parents and children primarily remain in the same group throughout their time at Hanna. This time together provides Parent and Student the necessary time to truly grow together as a unit.

To engage the whole school and offer time to interact with all parents and students attending Hanna, we offer many school sponsored social gatherings including but not limited to our Family Holiday Feast, Bagels with Dad, parent enrichment workshops, Coffee & Conversations - a monthly morning digest with our Director, and Facebook social groups.

These are just a few snippets of how we build sustaining and meaningful relationships - in and outside school.
