Getting
Started
The Hanna
Fenichel Center welcomes children of all races, colors, national and
ethnic origins. We believe that a wide variety of backgrounds will enrich
your child's experience.
-
Please call 858-755-0860 or email (info@hannafenichel.com) to schedule an appointment to visit our school. Tours are scheduled most Mondays through Thursdays in the mornings. Reservations are required. Meet our staff and observe our classrooms in action.
- Wait list information: Please call for more information or to receive a wait list form. Wait list forms are also available on the "Application" link. There is a $25 wait list fee that must accompany your wait list form. Once received, the wait list form is filed by program and by the date it is received. Our wait lists are date generated by program and preference
is given to siblings. Every effort is made to provide gender and age
balance to provide an adequate amount of peer choices in all of our programs.
- Application Process: If you wish to apply for the Parent-Toddler, Transition and/or our Nursery School Programs we are happy to accept your application. There is a $50 non-refundable application fee. Applications are available on the "Application" link or by calling the school. Applicants are contacted as openings occur and/or in the spring regarding admission status. If we do not have space, your child will be kept on the wait list until we are able to offer a space.
*We are no longer accepting applications for the 2008/09 school year, please feel free to call the school for a wait list form
-
Please understand that we receive many applications/wait list forms and it is not a guarantee for enrollment.
-
Once enrolled, our teachers visit all newly enrolled children
and their parents at home. Our goal is for each child to have
a smooth and happy transition from home to school. This also helps
teachers become more familiar with your childís developmental background.
- Throughout
each school year,
a consultant from the San Diego Psychoanalytic Society and Institute
meets with teachers and the director to discuss child development
and current trends.
All information and discussions are kept confidential. The dynamics
of groups are also assessed to help provide a clearer pathway toward
building successful relationships with the children as individuals
and to foster a positive group setting.
