Transition Rm 1, Administrative Assistant

Hi, I’m Amanda Sarver.  I’m a teacher for the Transition Program in Rm 1. You can also find me in the office as an Administrative Assistant.  Hanna Fenichel is a wonderful place! I’m proud to be a part of this amazing family of teachers, children, and their parents.

I’m originally from Maine and moved to San Diego in 2004 to attend the Art Institute of San Diego. After receiving my bachelor’s degree in Interior Design, I worked Downtown as a designer with a local firm. I’ve always loved art and to be creative. When I discovered my passion for early education, I transitioned my career to focus on children and parent support. I worked as a postpartum doula and a nanny for six years before returning to school to further my education in early childhood development so as to become a preschool teacher. At Hanna I am surrounded by inspiring teachers, talented children, and creativity in all the classrooms.

I enjoy being active with my husband, Chris; daughter, Rowan; and son, Eli. You can find us playing on the beach; taking walks at the park with our dog, Kingston; camping; or, rock climbing with friends. We are always excited to travel, explore the outdoors, and learn about new places.
